Bearco Training specializes defensive handgun training for the general public. We are now proud to offer the Combat Focus Shooting program. Combat Focus Shooting is an intuitive shooting program designed to help the student become a more efficient shooter in the context of a Dynamic Critical Incident. This is not a marksmanship course, nor is it designed to accentuate skills that only work well on a square range in front of paper targets.

We also offer the required certification class needed to apply for a Louisiana concealed handgun permit as well as other classes to fit our clients’ needs.

Bearco was started to help others safely get into shooting and owning firearms for the purpose of self defense.

Owner Barret Kendrick is a certified Combat Focus Shooting instructor, LSP Recognized concealed handgun permit instructor, NRA instructor, NRA Range Safety Officer, and Louisiana Hunter Education Instructor.

All of our classroom training has been designed with the student in mind and will be projected onto a big screen for better visual learning. We use powerpoint presentations, dvd and other video clips, and handouts when applicable. We also use gas-powered air-soft pistols that resemble the functions of a firearm to help our students in their learning, before actual live fire training.
